FWR Explanation
The 2009 Freeride World Ranking (FWR)
The Freeride World Ranking (FWR) is a unique ranking system including points earned both on the Freeride World Tour (FWT) and in the Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) Events. The 2009 ranking started the day after the final in Verbier 08 and ends with the final in Verbier 09. At the end of the season, the final Freeride World Ranking will determine the new 2009 Freeride World Tour Champions and also the entry list for the 2010 season.
*Wild Cards: A number of wild cards, invited riders, are selected to attend each contest. These are riders considered amongst the world’s best but did not enter enough competitions or were injured over the last two years to be listed on the FWR. Wild cards are selected by the event organizers.
