As of the 2018 season there will be two age categories at a selection of events on the FREERIDE JUNIOR TOUR:

FJT U-14

▪ Juniors turning 10 years old on or before May 31st of the current season will compete in the U-14 age group.

▪ Juniors turning 10 years old on or after June 1st are not allowed to compete in the U-14 age group, they must wait until the next season.

▪ Juniors turning 14 years old on or after June 1st during the ongoing season can chose if they want to compete in the U-14 or in the 14-18 age group (but they must be 14 years old to compete in the 14-18 age group).

FJT 14-18

▪ Juniors turning 14 years old on or after June 1st during the ongoing season can chose if they want to compete in the U-14 or in the 14-18 age group but they must turn 14 years old prior to the competition to compete in the 14-18 age group.

▪ Juniors turning 14 years old on or before May 31st must compete in the 14-18 years old group.

▪ Juniors turning 18 years old on or after June 1st of the current season must still compete as a Junior during the ongoing season.

Please note:

There will be special venues for the U-14 age category and all junior riders in the “under 14 year category” must be accompanied by an adult (parent or coach) at all times, from the first chair up to the start gate and from the finish area back to the village. No U-14 rider is allowed to ride without an adult. If doing so he/she might not be able to register/compete again at the following events.
