Located southwest of the vast Hardangervidda mountain plateau made famous by legendary polar explorers Roald Amundsen and Fridtjof Nansen, Røldal has the deepest snow in Europe. With an average annual snowfall of 12 metres, Røldal is a Freeriders paradise and has played host to Scandinavia‘s leading Freeride competitions for over ten years. A charming village with just over 500 inhabitants, Røldal is set to be become of the tour‘s iconic stops.
