20-22 Mar

The combination of favourable natural conditions and rich historical heritage makes Pirin an important tourist destination. The town of Bansko, situated on the north-eastern slopes of the mountain, has grown to be the primary ski and winter sports centre in the Balkans.

The Pirin mountain resort is a regular host of FIS World Cup events.

Along with a top level international recognition at the World Ski Awards in Kitzbühel for a few years in a row now, Bansko has established itself as a preferred location for top international winter sports events.

Since the 2007/08 season Bansko has already hosted 6 events (3 - Women and 3 - Men) in different ski disciplines from the FIS World Cup calendar, as well as 2 FIS World Cup snowboarding events. Bulgaria's top winter resort has proven itself as a competent host, capable of turning each event into a real winter sports celebration.

Apart from its wonderful ski runs at top world level, scenic mountain views and opportunities for mountain tourism, split-boarding, hiking, freeriding, paragliding and mountain biking, Bansko has a lot more to offer.

We are proud to have great conditions for spa and recreation, world class hotels and a variety of sporting and entertainment offers. Bansko is also known to charm its visitors with its unique authentic taverns, and special local food which meets the dynamic spirit of the modern international resort.
