The 2020 SBMC in Riksgränsen is planned to go off despite the COVID-19 situation!
With just about two months to go the SBMC-crew is still aiming at staging the event on May 22-23. A lot can and will happen in the two months to come. The organizer monitor the development closely and will make decisions based on the recommendations issued by the Swedish public health agency and additional regulations set by the Swedish government. There will most probably be some adjustments of the event to avoid the gathering of too many people in one place, for instance the riders meeting and the banquet. There will also be certain Covid-19 related guidelines for the riders on how to act during the event. So for now; welcome to the 2020 SBMC, and hope to see you in Riksgränsen May 22-23!
PS: The Riksgränsen ski area offers exceptional conditions right now with more snow than in 25 years! The venue for the SBMC, Nordalsfjället, has a fantastic base for the competition!
NB! If the organizer is forced to cancel the competition, there will be a refund of the starting fee for all riders.
Next update on May 6
The event takes place on May 4th-6th 2020, but counts for the FWQ 2021 season due to the cut-off date on April 21st!
