2020 FWQ & FJT DATES ANNOUNCED
Get ready for the FWQ & FJT 2020 Season!
The dates and stops for the 2020 FWQ and FJT seasons are now official.
There are events scheduled in pristine freeride locations all across the globe. From the Alps, to North America, Japan, Iceland, and even Lebanon! This year the FWQ consists of 80 events with over 2000 riders battling it out for the ultimate prize; a spot on the FWT21. The 3000 FJT riders will be showcasing their skills and showing the older generations what the future of freeriding looks like.

Freeride Junior Tour
The Freeride Junior World Championship (FJWC) Kappl by Dynastar (28 - 31st January), an event well known for its ridiculously high-level of riding will return to the legendary competition venue in the Austrian Tyrol.
This year’s Freeride Junior Tour will also feature a new 3* event in Chatel (14-16th February), France, new grassroots events in St. Anton, Austria (12-13th February), organized by former FWT legend Stefan Häusl, and a new Junior 1* in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl (4-7th April).
Freeride World Qualifiers
A total of thirteen 4* events in 2020 (6 in Europe, 6 in North America, and a Southen Hemisphere stop in New Zealand) will determine who makes the FWT21, with spots up for grabs for the top 3 ski men, top ski woman, top snowboard man, and top snowboard woman per region.
A brand new 3* event will be happening in Bansko, Bulgaria (20-22nd March) and Léo Taillefer will be organizing a new 2* event in his home resort of Val d’Isère (14-16th April) . A Handful of 1* and 2* events have also been added to the calendar for rookie riders starting their FWQ journeys. These include a new 1* during the Nendaz Freeride (8-20th March), a 1* during the Open Faces Gurgl Freeride Week (4-7th April), and a 1* Ride & Style (22-28th February) in Germany.
For the first time ever the FWQ will be heading to Greece for the Freeride Contest Greece 2* at Mt Parnassos (13-15th March)! This one is not to be missed!
Like past years, the much anticipated 4* grand finales (4-7th April) will take place in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, Austria and Kirkwood, California in early April.
