Snowboarder Anna Orlova (RUS) secures spot amongst elite group of women.

In a late change to the 2018 roster of snowboard women, Anna Orlova (RUS) has been awarded a season wildcard to the Freeride World Tour (FWT). Although she will be unable to attend the event in Hakuba, Japan, she will fill the spot of perennial standout Anne Flore-Marxer (FRA/SUI) for the remainder of the tour, starting with the event in Kicking Horse Golden BC, Canada.

Orlova has been fighting for her spot in the top tier of the sport for years. She finished in 2nd place overall in each of the 2015, 2016 and 2017 FWQ seasons, falling agonizingly short of the required 1st place ranking needed to make the FWT.

“Its hard to describe my feelings - its like a dream come true! I can’t wait to ride in the biggest freeride competition in the world.” says Anna Orlova.
