Freeride is back in the Southern Hemisphere

Attention all freeride fans! The wait is over, and the new calendar for Junior and Qualifier freeride events in South America and New Zealand is finally here. Get ready to explore the Andes Mountains and experience the thrill.

 

FREERIDE SUDAMERICA IS COMING IN HOT!

A tour with more than double the number of events than in 2022 and with many news is coming.

This south american winter season will be full of Freeride competitions throughout The Andes Mountains. This ski and snowboard discipline does not stop growing worldwide and Chile and Argentina are no exception. After a very good start in 2022, with 3 resorts and 4 competitions, this year the tour expands to 8 locations and 14 competitions, between juniors and adults, having a growth of more than 150% in less than a year.

Valle Nevado (Chi), Las Leñas (Arg), Pillán Centro de Montaña (Chi), Laderas Cerro Perito Moreno (Arg) and Potrero Norte El Maule (Chi) are the new resorts that skiers and snowboarders will have the opportunity to explore, in addition to the existing ones, La Parva (Chi), El Colorado (Chi) and Cerro Bayo (Arg).

Registration for the events will open the first week of July and close 5 days prior to the event, and anyone who has not registered within that time frame will be left off the start list. The events will soon be published on the IFSA website https://www.freeskiers.org/events/ifsa-events.html, where you can start the registration process. Likewise, the latest news will always be posted on Freeride Sudamerica's Instagram.

Competitions are open for anyone interested and must have their membership active and then register for the events in which they are interested. Given the interest in the events, Freeride Sudamérica recommends signing up as soon as the registrations open as they are likely to sell out quickly.

NEW ZEALAND CALENDAR RELEASED

A great opportunity to start putting points on the board for the 2024 season while enjoying an unforgettable experience in the Southern hemisphere! It has been proven over the years that the NZ Freeride events are a huge kickstart for any athlete wanting to gain qualification onto the pro tour. This is your chance to compete against not only some of the best kiwis but also multiple FWT athletes in nearly all disciplines.

Registrations for all New Zeaand will open shorts. Mark your calendar and keep an eye out on freerideworldtour.com for registration openings.
