Freeride World Tour Safety Prevention Workshop

From the 8th till the 16th of January, it's the Verbier Freeride Week! Why not start the season on the right foot by refreshing or learning new skills at the safety prevention workshop being run by the FWT on the 9th of January? 

This knowledge will only benefit your decisions, and safety whilst on the mountains and is guaranteed to be a fun, insightful, and interesting day on the slopes. Guides, rescuers, patrollers, and pro-riders will lead workshops to teach or share their experiences and knowledge with you

Workshop topics:

  • Signs of danger, line choice  
  • Avalanche transceiver correct use, probing and shoveling 
  • Lunch session with FWT riders on mental and preparation 
  • First Aid rescue, and patrollers meeting, what to put in my backpack? 
  • Rescue scenario: how to manage the crisis

 Meeting Spot: Les Ruinettes at 9 a.m

Program: 

- 9:00 till 16:00 - On the Mountain (lunch sandwiches included)

- 16.00 - 19.00  - Last session and Drinks at Pub Mont Fort
