FWT STARTS A NEW COLLABORATION WITH IMG

IMG is to distribute international media rights (excluding Austria) and sell sponsorship packages for the Freeride World Tour for 2020-22.

Nicolas Hale-Woods, CEO, Freeride World Tour, commented: “Partnering with IMG is a historical step-up for FWT, which will optimize content distribution and sponsorship partnerships. The sport’s fundamentals are healthy with fantastic progression on the sport and grassroots side, and a strong community sharing unique and authentic content. Our partnership with IMG will enable our sport to reach the next level.”

There is no other series quite like it and we are really looking forward to tapping into new markets worldwide to increase global coverage of the sport. We are also keen to build on the Tour’s success and enhance the level of sponsors for FWT.” 

Launched in Verbier in 1996, the FWT is a unique and exhilarating event series, which has grown into a world tour. The FWT’s five events feature 50 riders from all over the world, competing on some of the most challenging and iconic mountains.

IMG will be the main distribution partner alongside other partners, Red Bull (Austria and digital partner) and Quattro Media (News access).
