FWT19 FIRST STOP IN HAKUBA JAPAN IS JUST FIVE DAYS AWAY!
The Winter Begins with the 2019 Freeride World Tour (FWT) dropping in just four days in Hakuba, Japan with the competition weather window running from January 19-26th.
In just four days, the world’s best freeriders will begin their quest to become world champion in the heart of the Japanese Alps at the first event of FWT19.
Huge amounts of recent snow in Hakuba, a stacked line-up of riders including event wildcards Travis Rice (USA) and Taisuke Kusonoki (JPN), sets the stage for an epic competition in the world’s powder epicenter.
In addition to the main event, the FWQ 3* Hakuba competition will also be staged January 15-17th.
FWQ 3* HAKUBA JAPANESE WINNERS GETS EVENT WILDCARD TO FWT JAPAN STOP
After a first place in the 3* Freeride World Qualifier that happened this past Monday on an epic sunny day with fantastic snow conditions, Japanese riders were granted a spot in the Freeride World Tour Hakuba Japan stop. Congratulations to Onozuka Ayana (Ski Women), Keita Yamazaki (Snow Men) and Sasaki Yu (Ski Men) for their event wildcards!
