FWT20 KICKING HORSE GOLDEN BC

It’s time to get rowdy February 6-12, 2020 on a venue that showcases riders’ technical skills as competition heats up.

Check out the competition video teaser below!

The event kicks off in less than a week, and after an explosive first stop in Hakuba, Japan, the riders are keen to send it and establish their leads in their respective categories.

Renowned for playful and technical riding, Kicking Horse is one of the most fabled freeride venues in Canada. The competition will go down on the Ozone face, with over 1000 (324m) vertical feet of steep features.

In the Ski Men category, leader Drew Tabke (USA) will need to keep momentum to outgun full-throttle riders Reine Barkered (SWE), and Hank Bilous (NZL) whose Peak Performance Radical Moment transfer air stole the show in Japan.

Ski woman Hedvig Wessel (NOR) is bringing the heat in first place, but she definitely needs to keep an eye out for hungry riders like Emma Patterson (USA) who would have potentially taken the lead had not crashed in Hakuba.

Marion Haerty (FRA) has been taking podiums for a while now, but that doesn’t mean snowboarders like season wild card Nuria Castán Barón (SPA) can’t dethrone her. Local rider Michelle Locke (CAN) will be the only Canadian snowboarder on the Tour holding down the fort for her country.

Similarly, in the Snowboard Men category, Victor De Le Rue (FRA) will have to face a formidable threat from season wild card Elias Elhardt (GER).

Talent and terrain are aligning for a promising show on one of the Tour’s most dynamic venues.
