Holden Samuels

Holden Samuels' freeride story began as a kid following his older brother from slopestyle into freeride events, at a time when some North American competitions did not even allow snowboarders.

He developed his style on Big Sky's steep, rocky and windblown terrain, which he credits for much of the way he approaches the mountain today. After missing automatic requalification, Samuels returned to Challenger Region 2 and earned his way back to the 2027 Tour.

Away from competition, life is deliberately more conventional: he has completed a business degree, plans to attend physical therapy school and spends his summers mountain biking.
