Benjamin James Richards

Ben Richards arrived from Wanaka with a reputation built at Treble Cone, having skied just about every discipline before settling on freeride. It took him only one event to make his mark, winning Fieberbrunn during his 2024 rookie season.

Since then, Richards has risen to the top of the sport, claiming the FWT Championship in 2026. The mountains of New Zealand taught him to read and attack exposed, technical terrain at speed, skills that have translated to the biggest faces on Tour. Away from competition, his answer to who he is remains typically understated: just Ben. At 27, he returns in 2027 as the defending champion.
