Fynn Powell

Fynn Powell comes from Queenstown and The Remarkables, where skiing has always been a family affair. He started out ski racing alongside his twin brother, following a father who represented New Zealand at the 1992 Olympics.
Powell credits those years in the gates for the calm he now carries into freeride start gates. His 2026 rookie campaign showed his ability to transfer that background to the Tour's biggest terrain, including the Bec des Rosses.
Off the hill, he is usually tuning skis, working on his car or walking the dog. The quiet mechanics of growing up in a racing household have never really left him.
