Alpina Watches and Freeride World Tour renew their partnership for another season
Quick access
Alpina Watches and the Freeride World Tour (FWT) are proud to renew their partnership for another exciting season of freeride action. After eight years of shared success, this continued collaboration highlights the enduring connection between two brands united by precision, adventure, and a passion for the mountains.
For over a century, Alpina Watches has been at the forefront of designing timepieces that combine rugged durability with Swiss craftsmanship, making them the perfect companion for freeriders who push their limits in extreme conditions.
Guided by a shared commitment to precision and respect for the outdoors, Alpina and the FWT continue to push the limits of what’s possible while promoting safety and sustainability in freeriding. This renewed partnership will once again bring unique activations and experiences throughout the season, including the launch of a new co-branded watch set to be released in December, celebrating the athletes who embody the true spirit of adventure.

A new special edition celebrating nine years of shared passion
To celebrate the ninth year of their partnership, the Freeride World Tour and Alpina unveil the Alpiner Extreme Automatic FWT Special Edition—a timepiece that embodies the alpine spirit uniting both brands. Inspired by the sharp, triangular silhouette of a mountain peak, this new model pays tribute to the athletes who carve bold lines down the world’s most iconic faces.
Housed in Alpina’s signature compact 39 x 40.5 mm case, the watch comes in a full alpine rock grey finish and features—for the first time ever on this model—the FWT’s embossed dial motif. Paired with a black rubber strap built for the demands of outdoor performance, it is powered by the Swiss-made AL-525 calibre, offering a 38-hour power reserve.
At its heart lies an unmistakable symbol: the iconic Freeride World Tour logo, depicting a towering peak traced by the perfect line of a freerider. Simple yet instantly recognisable, it represents both the purity of the mountains and the essence of freeriding. By placing this emblem directly on the dial, Alpina reinforces its deep-rooted alpine heritage and its long-standing commitment as a Premium Partner of the FWT.
Everything about the Alpiner Extreme Automatic Freeride World Tour Special Edition breathes alpine air and high-performance ambition. Water-resistant to 200 metres, it is built to withstand winter storms, fast descents, unexpected tumbles—and even off-season training far from the snow, should athletes swap icy slopes for ocean waves.
Finally, the caseback features an exclusive engraving dedicated to the spirit of freeriding and to all those who find freedom and purpose in the mountains.
