We go again! YETI Xtreme Verbier competition confirmed

The final event of FWT23, the YETI Xtreme Verbier, is confirmed for tomorrow Tuesday, March 28th.

The Freeride World Tour CEO Nicolas Hale-Woods, Mountain Guide, and Commissioner went up to the mountain today to assess the conditions and check the face.

Despite the strong winds gusts of the past two days, the recent snowfall guarantees prime-looking conditions on the Bec des Rosses. In order to ensure safe conditions to all the riders, safety works which include bombing, will be performed tomorrow morning at first lights.

Competition will kick off at 9:45 am CET, with the live stream action starting at 9:35 am CET at www.freerideworldtour.com. The order of play is as follows:

  • Snowboard Men
  • Ski Men
  • Ski Women
  • Snowboard Women

Three world titles at stake

The YETI Xtreme Verbier never fails to disappoint and, with world titles on the line, the intensity and pressure are turned up to the max. Katie Anderson (CAN) has already locked in her maiden FWT crown, but will be hungry to make it four wins out of five for the season.

The world title race in the other categories remains tight, and Ludovic Guillot-Diat (FRA), Justine Dufour-Lapointe (CAN), and Valentin Rainer (AUT) will have to hold their nerves and deliver one more performance to secure overall victory.

Remember that the YETI Xtreme Verbier competition will be broadcast LIVE! Watch all the action as it happens at www.freerideworldtour.com. Until then, stay tuned to the FWT social media channels for updates and rider news, as the season’s final event is finally here!
