Competition Confirmed: Georgia Pro staged in Kühtai – Innsbruck, Austria set for February 27, 2026
The FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance is pleased to confirm that the Georgia Pro has been officially restaged in Kühtai – Innsbruck, Austria, with competition scheduled for this Friday, February 27, 2026
Following the cancellation of the original Georgia Pro, this restaged event ensures that athletes retain the opportunity to compete for the points originally allocated to the stop. With the Fieberbrunn Pro still to come as the final event before the Cut, the Georgia Pro staged in Kühtai - Innsbruck, Austria represents a crucial moment in the season. The world’s best freeriders will be looking to secure valuable points and strengthen their position in the rankings as the race toward qualification for the second half of the Tour intensifies.

A new venue for the entire roster
The competition will take place on Schöffi’s Face in Kühtai, named after Austrian Freeride Champion Christoph “Schöffi” Schöfegger and co-founder of the Freeride Academy Innsbruck. Starting at 2,678 meters with a vertical drop of 455 meters, the face meets all FWT safety and operational standards.
With an East to North-East orientation in the upper section before turning South-East lower down, the venue offers multiple line options. Riders will face a steep upper pitch reaching 45 degrees before transitioning into a more open lower section averaging 33 degrees, encouraging creative and freestyle-oriented runs, while maintaining athlete safety.
As a completely new venue for the entire roster, Schöffi’s Face creates a level playing field. Austrian riders, however, may benefit from home advantage, drawing on their familiarity with local terrain as they look to capitalize in front of a home crowd.

Safety first in challenging conditions
The FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance reminds all stakeholders that the Tyrol region is currently experiencing a high avalanche danger rating (level 4/5). The event can proceed on Schöffi’s Face thanks to extensive preventive work conducted throughout the season by the local safety team, in close collaboration with FWT staff and certified mountain guides. The face has been continuously secured and monitored to meet the Tour’s strict safety protocols.
