The plan is the one every rider knows: travel day, quiet routine, gear checks, face inspection, and the mental build-up to a big day on snow.

Then avalanche control rewrites the script.

One blast. Then another. Suddenly the venue changes shape in front of everyone’s eyes, and the message lands hard: the competition can’t run. For riders who have crossed continents to be here, it’s the kind of moment that tests patience, mindset, and motivation in the same breath.

But the week doesn’t end there.

With the Tour moving fast to try and save the stop, what follows is a rare look at the behind-the-scenes reality of elite freeride: flights rebooked, plans adjusted in real time, and a full reset as the Georgia Pro is restaged in Kühtai, Austria. New mountain. New snow. New uncertainty.
