Discover the three riders who could be crowned World Champion in Fieberbrunn…

As we approach the Fieberbrunn Pro event, we turn our focus to the riders who are vying for the world title. Who will perform under added pressure? Join us as we take a closer look at the race to the 2024 World Titles.

Ski Men

Max Hitzig has been a formidable competitor this season, leading the pack with two wins and a third-place finish. Despite Kristofer Turdell's consistency and Marcus Goguen's near-flawless run in Georgia, Max Hitzig is the only male skier with a shot at securing the World Title at the 2024 Fieberbrunn Pro. Here are the scenarios that could lead to Max Hitzig winning the World Title in Austria:

  • Hitzig ranks 1st, and Goguen ranks 3rd or lower
  • Hitzig is 2nd, Goguen is 5th or lower, and Turdell is 2nd or lower
  • Hitzig is 3rd, Goguen is 6th or lower, and Turdell is 3rd or lower
  • Hitzig is 4th, Goguen is 7th or lower, Turdell is 4th or lower, and Katsuno is 2nd or lower
  • Hitzig is 5th, Goguen is 9th or lower, Turdell is 4th or lower, and neither Katsuno, Richards, Bilous nor Bender wins
  • Hitzig is 6th, Goguen is 11th, Turdell is 5th or lower, Katsuno is 3rd or lower, and neither Richards, Bilous nor Bender wins

Ski Women

The women's ski category has seen an incredibly tight competition. Manon Loschi has taken a slight lead in her first year on tour, but Hedvig Wessel is close behind, eager to claim a victory after a series of runner-up finishes. However, with less than 3,000 points between first and fifth place, the category remains wide open. The World Champion will not be decided in Fieberbrunn; it will all come down to the 2024 YETI Xtreme Verbier.

Snowboard Men

The burning question in the Snowboard Men’s category is whether anyone can stop Victor de Le Rue, who has swept the board with three victories from three events and could take the title in Fieberbrunn. Liam Rivera and Michael Mawn are the only two riders with no chance of winning the World Title, regardless of their Fieberbrunn Pro and YETI Xtreme Verbier results. Victor’s fate is in his hands - a podium finish at the Fieberbrunn Pro would secure the 2024 World Title. The scenarios that could see Victor de Le Rue win the World Title in Austria are:

  • De Le Rue finishes on the podium
  • De Le Rue finishes 4th and neither Penfield nor Schröder wins
  • De Le Rue finishes 5th and neither Penfield nor Schröder wins
  • De Le Rue finishes 6th, Penfield and Schröder finish 3rd or lower, and Samuels does not win

Snowboard Women

2024 has been a standout season for Spanish rider Núria Castán Barón as she blazes the trail in the Snowboard Women’s category, having celebrated two victories in Verbier and Georgia. Anna Martinez is her main competitor, hot on her heels after podium finishes in every event, including a win in Canada. While all Snowboard Women finalists are still in the running for the World Title, Núria is the only one who can secure the title at the 2024 Fieberbrunn Pro. There is, however, only one scenario that would see Núria Castán Barón win the World Title in Austria:

  • Castán Barón wins and Martinez finishes 3rd or lower
