Val d'Aran
The Val d’Aran is a valley unique in the Spanish Pyrenees in that it faces north, with its back to Spain and facing towards France. This means the resort is unique in having an Atlantic climate, ensuring the best snow and plenty of it. Baqueira’s resort level is an impressive 1,500m and the ski area’s high point is 2,610m. The main village, built in wood and stone, is on the main road leading up to the high Bonaigua Pass.
