Liam Rivera, born in Mexico and raised in Switzerland, has quickly established himself as one of freeride snowboarding’s standout talents. After earning Rookie of the Year in 2023 and finishing 3rd overall in 2025, he delivered an exceptional 2026 season across both competitions.
He kicked off the Freeride World Tour with a win in Baqueira Beret, went on to become the first-ever FIS Freeride World Champion in Andorra, and continued his momentum with a 2nd place in Alaska. He then closed things out in style at the Xtreme Verbier, taking the win with a record-breaking 96.00 points, the highest score ever in the men’s snowboard category. His performances across the season also earned him the title of Rider of the Year, underlining his impact on the sport.
