Astrid Cheylus

Astrid Cheylus made an immediate impact after joining the FWT, winning in Fieberbrunn and Kicking Horse during her 2024 rookie season before adding another victory in Val Thorens the following year.

She grew up in La Clusaz, where her first coach repeatedly told a laughing young skier that she would one day become world champion. Cheylus has been quietly working toward proving him right ever since.

Her 2026 season ended after only two events, and a Season Wildcard brings her back for 2027. Away from skiing, the 23-year-old trades snow for water, spending her summers surfing and kitesurfing from her base in Les Landes.
