2026 Nendaz freeride Challenger
Nendaz once again proved itself as a key stop on the 2026 FWT Challenger. On February 28 at 09:00 AM (CET), athletes took on the legendary Mont-Gond face, charging down steep terrain and navigating technical lines in a high-stakes battle for a spot on the 2027 Freeride World Tour. Another epic chapter was written in this season’s journey.

Mont Gond, (2667 m) m in the Pennine Alps above Nendaz and Siviez in the canton of Valais, is one of the most exciting big-mountain faces in the 4 Vallées ski area. From its summit the terrain drops with a vertical descent of around 367 m, offering steep slopes that pitch up to 40°. Its steep and challenging terrain has earned Mont Gond a reputation as a premier freeride hotspot.
