2024 Baqueira Beret Pro

The 2024 Baqueira Beret Pro has been canceled due to snow conditions on the Baciver. Despite recent snowfalls and good conditions on-piste, there is insufficient snowpack off-piste to safely conduct a freeride competition. Organizers have chosen to cancel the event to ensure the safety of all riders, which always remains at the forefront of every decision made at the FWT.

The 2024 Baqueira Beret Pro has been canceled

The 2024 Baqueira Beret Pro has been canceled due to snow conditions. Despite recent snowfalls and good conditions on-piste, there is insufficient snowpack off-piste to safely conduct a freeride competition. Conditions in the backcountry will likely deteriorate further, given the warm weather forecast in the coming week, with no precipitation expected.

Organizers have chosen to cancel the event to ensure the safety of all riders, which always remains at the forefront of every decision made at the FWT. The Baqueira Beret Pro will not be replaced with another event, meaning that if all upcoming stops take place, the best two results out of three will count towards points to make The Cut, which guarantees qualification to the FWT Finals.

Abel Moga

In the spirit of the legendary Aymar Navarro, Abel made his debut in the FWT on his home turf at Baqueira Beret in 2022, securing an impressive second-place finish. Abel left the audience in awe as he executed a monumental backflip followed by a colossal front-flip attempt on the formidable Bec des Rosses during the Xtreme Verbier finale, despite the challenging conditions. The FWT24 features, whatever their snow conditions, are waiting for Moga's return!

Aymar Navarro

Born 34 years ago in Val D’Aran, a ski town in the Spanish Alps, Aymar began skiing at just three years old. Initially focused on racing and alpine skiing, he shifted to freeride skiing at 17 and was immediately captivated. Aymar's prowess in the Freeride World Tour has made him renowned for his daring runs and impressive landings. After an 8-year stint on the tour, he's now eyeing more film opportunities, particularly those that combine climbing and skiing on global peaks. We're excited for the next chapter in Aymar's journey!
