Welcome to The North Face Frontier, a premier freeride skiing and snowboarding event held at The Remarkables Ski Field in Queenstown, New Zealand. The competition includes both 2* and 4* Freeride World Tour Qualifier, offering a key opportunity for emerging athletes aiming to progress to the Freeride World Tour

Shadow Basin or Alta Chute
The FWT Qualifier 2* event will take place at Shadow Basin or in the Alta Chute at The Remarkables Ski Area. This will be decided on the week before depending on snow conditions.
Over 120 ski and snowboard athletes from around the globe are expected, with the event scheduled on the best weather day between 28th Aug - 2 Sept 2026
Bib Collection, other pre events and the After Party will be based from Wānaka so if you’re looking to book accomodation then have a look at options there.
Spectators are welcome to join us in Shadow Basin at the finish line for festivities filled with BBQ, beats, and beanbags. Lift pass and ability to ski blue piste required to get there
